Description of company activities

The Centre for Advanced Production Systems (CAMT) was established in 2000 (as the Centre of Excellence financed by the European Union) at the Institute of Engineering and Automation of Wroclaw University of Technology. CAMT is recognized in Poland as a leading research centre and providing technology. Foreign cooperation is a very important area of activity, which includes 30 active contacts with research institutes in Europe. The staff of the Centre and its Laboratories have obtained many international certificates such as ISO/TÜV, Authorized AutoCAD Training Centre, PROFIBUS Competition Centre, SUN Technologies Centre. CAMT is financed by cooperation with industry (ABB, ADTranz, BOSCH, de Laval, Sauer Danfoss), national and international projects (Leonardo da Vinci, Eureka, 5FP) and the Research Committee.

The CAMT currently carries out work in the form of projects in four thematic areas:

  • Product development,
  • Organisation of production and IT systems,
  • Production and quality systems,
  • Mechatronics and automation of manufacturing,

The employees of the Centre are authors of estimated 50-60 publications per year and participate in about 20-30 projects for industry. As part of its education, the Centre promotes about 40 engineers a year in any specialization of studies.

Services offered

CAMT focuses on research, training and technology transfer in modern production. The scope of the research covers the entire product development cycle, from concept to design, through prototyping to planning and controlling production. Technology transfer mainly concerns the integration of different hardware and software solutions in industry.
