AHK conference report: "Classes as a motor for innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises"

On 12.09.2013, a conference took place in Wrocław to establish a cluster policy for the years 2014 - 2020 entitled "Clastry as a motor for innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises". The event was organised by the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in cooperation with the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria in Poland and the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Wrocław.


DSC01942.jpg 1024x768 87kBThe conference was attended by representatives of Lower Silesian clusters and business environment institutions connected for many years with supporting innovation. CINNOMATECH Cluster was represented by Professor Edward Chlebus, who presented our Association as part of the lecture "Examples of Good Practice". The conference guests were also partners from Bavaria, Germany, where cluster policy has been implemented with many successes for many years. The experience was presented by representatives of the Bavarian Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, as well as directors of two Bavarian clusters.

"I am pleased that this conference is taking place in Lower Silesia. Economic change takes place right in front of us. Cooperation between local governments and entrepreneurs develops from month to month. The Lower Silesian Voivodeship launches instruments that support clusters. Our actions are moving towards learning and developing our own instruments and forms of cluster operation. In the Strategy for the Development of Lower Silesian Voivodeship, we clearly define a new healthy concept for the development of the economy, based on cooperation and trust" – said Dr Jerzy Here, a representative of the Provincial Board.

During the conference lectures were presented:

  • "The Role of the National Centre for Research and Development in Supporting Innovation",
  • "Regional instruments for financing clusters in Poland on the example of Lower Silesia",
  • "Polish cluster policy in new financial perspective 2014-2020"
  • and discussion panel - "Classes as a motor for innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises".
