The ceremony of symbolically inserting the first shovel into the construction of the office building and modular hall of the Lower Silesian Innovation and Science Park was held on Wednesday – 11 July 2012, on a plot at Kwiatkowskiego Street in Wrocław. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Supervisory Board, Contract Engineer and General Contractor. The host was the board of DPIN composed of Professor Edward Chlebus – President of the Management Board, Lidia Ciesielska – Vice President of the Management Board and Lilla Jaroń – Vice President of the Management Board.
The shoveling preceded the appearances of the host and guests.
"In the beginning was the idea of creating a science park that will support innovation and entrepreneurship in Lower Silesia. Thanks to shareholders - the Provincial Government and the Invest-Park Special Economic Zone, the idea has been transformed into a concrete action. Here we stand, where in less than a year and a half we will open a technology park with an entrepreneurship and technological incubator. Thank you for trusting and believing in the success of this project – said Prof. Edward Chlebus, President of the Management Board of DPIN. President Wrobis – Tadeusz Chodorowski and president of WBI – Tadeusz Na converted.
The next point was the symbolic punching of a shovel, which could be done by any of the participants. The celebration ended with an informal part filled with ballroom talks.
Let us remind you, building an innovation and science park is an important investment for the region in the development of entrepreneurship and innovation. The park will support innovative, R & D and implementation activities through the offer of office, workshop and production space, laboratory and business services. The whole investment will be implemented in two stages.
In the first, currently implemented, an office building will be built with the adjacent technological park hall, where:
- Reception with meeting rooms, where it will be possible to display products of companies operating in the Lower Silesian Innovation and Science Park,
- Office spaces (1639 m2) with hot desk infrastructure – allowing for conducting work and business talks in a separate office environment by entities and organizations visiting Wrocław or Lower Silesia in search of co-operators and business partners,
- modular conference room ideal for organizing symposia, conferences and training (300 m2),
- Production and workshop hall with exhibition area (2000 m2),
- Surfaces for business meetings (100 m2).
Activities will start and offer services to clients of the Park:
- Enterprise Incubator,
- Technology Incubator,
- CAD/CAM laboratory for specialized design and technology, equipped with the necessary software to carry out design and construction work,
- Technology and production halls with a standard of specialized halls allowing companies to carry out research, development and innovation activities, even in industrial conditions, with the possibility of producing prototypes, conducting tests and producing research series.
In addition, trade fairs and specialised expositions can be organised on the premises, enabling entrepreneurs and implementation teams to present elements of production line, new technologies, products and technology infrastructure in real terms.
There is also a possibility to conduct practical training with the operation of the production line and show its possibilities.
In the second stage, it is planned to build an office building adjacent to the reception desk, along with machinery halls and laboratories for the Industrial Park.
There will be offices for rent (600 m2), two conference rooms (460 m2), technology laboratories (460 m2), development and implementation laboratories (420 m2), and two specialized halls (2380 m2).
